Welcome to the
South Gippsland Camera Club website

Philosophy
The purposes of our Camera Club are:
As a financial member, you will receive a copy of our regular newsletter that outlines upcoming events and other articles of interest.
You are also allowed to enter our monthly challenges, submitting Print and/or Digitally Projected Images (DPIs). Photos are judged on the basis of focus, composition, interest, impact and story.
Contests centre around specific topics that encourage members to test their skills and creativity. Your active participation in these will be appreciated as it enriches the life of the club, and adds to everyone’s overall understanding of what makes a good photo. There is a syllabus available for the upcoming year that lists the subjects to be explored and the definitions of these subjects.
-
To promote members’ interest, development and ability in photography.
-
To promote good relationships between the members, friends, the Club and other bodies with similar interests.
-
To become involved with other Community groups or institutions where appropriate, in the application of their photographic activities. For example, Photography Societies, Schools, etc.
