Welcome to the
South Gippsland Camera Club website

About Us
Founded in 1976 as the South Gippsland Photographic Study Group, later became the Foster Photography Club and is now known as the South Gippsland Camera Club.
Philosophy
The purposes of our Camera Club:
As a financial member, you will receive a copy of our regular newsletter that outlines upcoming events and other articles of interest.
You are also allowed to enter our monthly challenges, submitting Print and/or Digitally Projected Images (DPIs). Photos are judged on the basis of focus, composition, interest, impact and story.
Contests centre around specific topics that encourage members to test their skills and creativity. Your active participation in these will be appreciated as it enriches the life of the club, and adds to everyone’s overall understanding of what makes a good photo. There is a syllabus available for the upcoming year that lists the subjects to be explored and the definitions of these subjects.
-
Promote members’ interest, development and ability in photography.
-
Foster good relationships among members and with other photographic and community groups.
-
Provide opportunities for participation in local, regional and state-level exhibitions and competitions.
