Meetings
​

Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, January to December at the Uniting Church Hall, Station Road, Foster beginning at 7:00pm.

Membership fees​
 
Subscriptions are set annually from 1st July and for 2023-2024 will be:
Family.....$70

Single......$40

Assoc./Social membership.....$10 (covers insurance at Club outings)

Committee
​

An elected Committee conducts the day-to-day running and organisation of the club and reports back to the monthly meeting of members.

Guest speakers
​

The Club features regular guest speakers of national and international standard who talk about the wide range of photography aspects and their preferred inclusions when creating a photograph.

 

Guests are encouraged to include practical sessions with their presentation. Recently, past topics have included lighting techniques, portraiture, iPhone photography, wedding photography and travel. Weekend workshops are also arranged as required.

 

Throughout the year, informal discussions are conducted to meet the interest of members. These may include, low-light photography, reading a histogram, the newest gadgets etc.

 

Time is also spent on discussing image editing and enhancing photographs on computer. New members are offered the opportunity to be mentored by some of our experienced photographers.

Competition rules
​

You will be issued a registration number. This number must appear on the back of your entry. For most competitions, two entries per member are allowed. They may be colour or black and white; home or commercially processed.

Labelling required on entries
 

Prints submitted to competitions should be labelled on the back. It is a way to identify prints (without actually having a name on them) and indicating the correct orientation of the image (since it will always be in the top left hand corner of the print.) This will also help to keep track of pictures that may be sent to judges.
